The Beckhythe Hat PDF Pattern by Emma Brennan of Charlie's Aunt includes sewing instructions and pattern templates for creating a versatile, practical, modern style with a nod to the fishermen’s hats of yesteryear. It features a three part crown and a wide brim that can be worn turned up all round or elegantly raised at one side. This makes it ideal made in lightweight cottons for summer wear as a sun hat, or in waxed fabric as a rain hat. Beckhythe will suit most face shapes and can be adapted for many occasions, made in a variety of fabrics from durable cotton canvas for a stylish sun hat to waxed cotton for a serviceable rain hat. This hat it is named after a former fishing station on the north Norfolk coast. Three sizes: small 21-1/2", medium 22-1/2", large 23-1/2".

Materials needed:

• 3/4 yd exterior fabric
• 1 yd fusible interfacing
• 1/3 yd lining fabric (plus lightweight interfacing if needed)
• 1 yd of 1" wide grosgrain ribbon - interior band
