The Shopper's Fancy Tote PDF Pattern by Jo-Lydia's Attic includes sewing instructions for creating a convenient tote using double-faced, quilted fabric, with contrasting divided pockets, a bottom panel on the outside and an inside zippered pocket! Use it for shopping trips or as a carry-all when traveling.

Materials Needed:

  • 5/8 yd Fabric #1: Double-faced, quilted fabric; if double- faced, quilted fabric is not available in fabric combinations you like, choose two fabrics to quilt together.
  • 1 yd Fabric #2: Contrasting print (unquilted) for the outer, divided and inner zipped pockets and the upper-edge finish; this can be one of the two fabrics in the quilted fabric if it is available as an unquilted companion fabric; otherwise choose a different coordinate.
  • 5/8 yd Fabric #3: Contrasting print (unquilted) for the tote bottom, straps, and binding
  • 1-1/2 yds of 1” wide belt stiffener or waistband interfacing for the straps; if unavailable, substitute a relatively firm 1” wide elastic.
  • 1-3/4 yds of 1/4” wide strips of fusible web
  • 7” nylon or polyester coil zipper, for the inside pocket
  • Optional: 1 yd contrasting narrow piping to trim the edges

The Shopper's Fancy Tote PDF Sewing Pattern by Jo-Lydia's Attic has 6 pages of detailed step-by-step instructions and illustrations.
