The Boutique Backpacks One - From the Swamp pattern by Whistlepig Creek Productions includes sewing instructions and pattern templates for creating frog, owl, and turtle backpacks. Finished size: 10" x 13" x 5".
Materials Needed (all backpacks):
- 1/3 yd Main Fabric (bag body)
- 1/3 yd Coordinate Fabric 1 (Center Bag Top)
- 1/4 yd Coordinate Fabric 2 (Center Bag Bottom)
- 1/3 yd Coordinate Fabric 3 (straps)
- 1 1/4 yds Lining Fabric
- 3 yds Woven Interfacting Pellon SF101 (20" W)
- 1/2 yd Fusible Fleece Pellon 987F
- (2) 1" Strap Buckles
- 20" Zipper
- Fusible Webbing
Additional Requirements:
- OWL - Fat quarter and large buttons for Wings (optional); 10" x 10" scraps, pink for tummy, gold for feet, beak, and ears; 6" x 6" scraps, white, blue, and black for eyes; 12" x 12" scrap, for ears; 1/2" black buttons for eyes (optional)
- FROG - 1/2 yd for body, head and back feet; scrap white eyes and teech; 8" x 8" scrap green for front feet; assorted scarps for frog spots (optional); 1/4" black buttons for pupils.
- TURTLE - (3) Fat Quarters different shades and prints of green for shell, head, feet; Fat Quarter Teal for shell; scraps - whites for eyes, purple for shell bottom; small beads or buttons (1/8") for pupils.
