The Olivia is a PDF pattern with instructions that will fit the iPad Mini, Kindle Fire 7" display models, Nook HD 7", Sony eReader,
Kobe Reader, or any device up to 5.5" x 8" x 1/2". The case is slightly oversized, so it is designed to protect and enhance a device
with a cover.
You can use this pattern to create a cover with zipped pockets on both sides, or a cover with just the single zipper and no side pocket
with Instructions for these simple modifications.
If you have never installed a zipper, no problem! The method used is extremely easy. The process is super simple with a
professional finished result.
Materials Needed:
- 1/3 yard of fabric (consider pattern placement if fabric has a large, noticeable motif, may need more fabric)
- 1/2 yard of fabric for lining
- Batting, poly or cotton, 2 pieces approx. 9” by 12” (heavier weight fabrics, lighter weight batting; lighter weight fabrics,
heavier batting)
- 2 - 12” zippers (longer is ok) in coordinating color (nylon coil) or 24” of zipper by the foot and two pulls
- 2 – small tassel on a loop of cord
- 1 yard of 1-1 ½” Grosgrain or other ribbon for handles

The Olivia pattern open
The Olivia is a PDF pattern that has a total of 21 pages. There is 1 page of printing instructions, 1 page of pattern pieces, and 19 pages of instructions and step-by-step photos.
If you would like to use this pattern to create cases to sell on Etsy or elsewhere, that is permissable. I would greatly appreciate a note of credit for the pattern source (GailaDesigns). Individual pieces sewn by you are wonderful, no mass production is permitted.
