The Lily eReader Cover is a PDF pattern with complete instructions to make a beautiful yet simple eReader case that is padded and fully lined with zipper pocket closure. There are also instructions for a wristlet for your 7" tablet Kindle, Nook or other eReader!

This pattern has a square design that gives it extra space for multiple devices to fit, or to put accessories inside the main pocket. There are instructions to put rings on both sides of the cover so you can attach the wristlet to either side, or attach a shoulder strap if desired. The pattern for this set of instructions will fit your Kindle 2 or 3, Kindle Fire, Kindle Keyboard, Nook, Nook Color, Nook Tablet, Sony eReader, Kobo and many others. This pattern is oversized to accommodate a device with a cover or any device up to 5.5"w x 8.25"t x 1". Measure your covered device to see if it is the best fit with this pattern. You can use this pattern to create a cover with zipped pockets on both sides, or a cover with just the single zipper and no side pocket. The wristlet has a cute bow that that can clip to either side, remove it, or make a shoulder strap for your case, whatever suits your mood!

Materials Needed:

  • 1/3 yard of fabric. Consider pattern placement if fabric has a large noticeable motif because you may need more fabric.
  • 3/4 yard of 44” fabric for lining
  • Batting, 2 pieces 10” square
  • 2 - 12” zippers (longer is ok) in coordinating color (nylon coil) or 24” of zipper by the foot and two pulls
  • 2 – small tassel on a loop of cord
  • 1 yard of 1-1 ½” Grosgrain ribbon or belting material for wristlet
  • 1 purse style claw hook; 2 round metal rings; narrow ribbon (scrap, about 5”)
