The Village Post Bag Pattern is an elegant handbag inspired by the 1940s fashions but with a modern twist. This bag has a single shoulder strap, a cute bow on the front panel, and has shaping made with darts. The Village Post Bag measures 15” (38cm) tall by 14” (36cm) wide excluding handle.
Materials Needed:
- ¾ yd (70cm) of main fabric
- ½ yd (50cm) of sew-in interfacing and/or fleece
- ¾ yd (50cm) of lining fabric
- ½ yd (50cm) of iron-on interfacing
- 2 pieces x 1½” (4cm) square of craft interfacing
- 1 magnetic snap set
- Zip fastener 6” (15cm)
- Piece of fusible web
This PDF pattern has 12 pages – 6 pages including photographs, detailed instructions and illustrations, plus 6 pages of full sized pattern templates which you must print on letter (8 1/2" x 11") paper and cut out. As some of the templates are too large to fit on one sheet, you must tape the templates together where shown.
