This elegant, serviceable bag reminiscent of the styles of the 1940s features panels with curved seams and is made of two contrasting fabrics with buttons trimming the flap. There is an interior patch pocket. The Bircham Bag is a neat size and is suited to anthing from tweeds paired with corduroy, moleskin or velvet to heavy linens or printed fabrics.
Finished size: 13 1/2" W x 10" H x 2" D.
Materials Needed:
- 1/2 yd main exterior fabric
- 1/4 yd contrast exterior fabric
- 2/3 yd lining fabric
- 2/3 yd x 36" wide firm sew-in interfacing
- 1/3 yd x 36" wide fusible interfacing
- magnetic snap
- (3) 1" buttons to trim flap
- 40" x 5" fusible web for strap (plus fusible interfacing depending on fabric weight)
