The Gershwin Clutch Bag Pattern is inspired from the early 1930's and has a asymmetrical flap and is easy to make. The off center bow is unique and vintage buttons add a nice retro touch! Finished size is approximately 8” (20cm) high by 12½” (32cm) wide.
Materials Needed:
- ½ yard (50cm) of 44” (112cm) or 54” (140cm) wide exterior fabric for bag and bow
- 1/3 yd (30cm) of 44” (92cm) wide lining fabric for bag lining and interior pocket
- ¼ yd (25cm) of 36” (92cm) wide sew-in craft interfacing for bag
- ¼ yd (25cm) of 36” (92cm) wide fusible interfacing for flap
- Piece of fusible web 5” x 4” (13 x 10cm) for bow centre
- 1 magnetic snap set
- 3 buttons approx. ¾” (19mm) diameter to trim bow end
The Gershwin Clutch Bag pattern has 12 pages – 7 pages including photographs, detailed instructions and illustrations, plus 5 pages of full sized pattern templates which you must print on letter (8 1/2" x 11") paper and cut out. All templates are actual size.
