The Blakeney Clutch Bag by Charlies Aunt is a retro inspired bag with a distinct 1920's flare, made in 3 contrasting fabrics with a classical feel. There are instructions for this
bag to be either a clutch with a wrist strap or a shoulder purse.
The bag’s finished dimensions are: Height 9” (23cm) and width 12” (31cm). Long strap length is 38” (96cm) and wrist strap extends approx. 6” (15cm) above bag.
Materials Needed:
- ½ yard (50cm) of 44” (112cm) wide exterior fabric 1
- 1/3 yd (32cm) of 44” (112cm) wide contrasting exterior fabric 2
- ¼ yard (23cm) of 44” (112cm) wide contrasting exterior fabric 3
- 1/3 yard (30cm) of 44” (112cm) wide lining fabric
- 1/3 yard (30cm) of 36” (92cm) wide heavy sew-in craft interfacing
- 1/3 yard (30cm) of 36” (92cm) wide fusible interfacing
- 1 magnetic snap set
- 1 large button approx. 2” (50mm) diameter
- You will also need:
- Sticky tape (to join pattern templates)
- Fabric marker pen, pencil or chalk
