The City Bag is a slimline shoulder bag that sits snugly under your arm as you weave your way through city crowds. The detailed instructions guide you on how to insert a zipper on a curve, make internal compartments and zipped pockets, stabilize a bag base, and attach straps on a "boxed corner" seam. Finished size: 12" x 13 1/2" x 4". Strap length is variable. Intermediate sewing skills are helpful for making this bag pattern.
Materials Needed:
- 24" medium weight woven fabric
- 24"-32" lining fabric
- 24"-32" medium weight fusible woven interfacing
- 12"-14" zipper
- 4" Peltex or Fast2Fuse for bag base
OPTIONAL:
- 8" zipper for lining pocket
- D-rings or O-rings
- Decorative zipper pull
- 24"-32" light fusible wadding (fleece) such as Vilene H630
