The Bottle-in-a-Fish is a unique water bottle carrier pattern in PDF which has instructions for insulation to keep your water cold! The pattern is for a full 24 ounce bottle of water but the pattern can be modified for a 16 ounce water bottle easily.
Materials Needed:
- 1 Fat Quarter for fish body, drawstrings, and straps
- 11 inches x 10 1/2 inches scrap for fish body lining
- 11 inches x 10 1/2 inches Insul-Brite from the Warm Company (I got mine at Jo-Ann Fabrics)
- 10 1/2 inch x 3 1/2 inch scrap of fabric for fish lips
- 13 inch x 11 inch piece of medium weight fusible interfacing
- One small fabric scrap each of black and white for eyes or two 3/4 inch buttons
- Sulky iron-on transfer pen
- Embellishment materials for fins:
Option 1: Applique
- 15 inch x 11 inch scrap of contrasting fabric for fins and tail
- Sulky Solvy or Paper Solvy
- Applique pressing sheet
- Steam-A-Seam 2
- Option 2: Free Motion Design
