The Madeline Sling Bag Pattern by Jenna Lou is a cute but practical bag that can be worn cross body or as a shoulder bag and
holds the essentials without
being too bulky.
There are a variety of pockets to help you stay organized, including a slip pocket that closes with a magnetic snap on the front of
the bag and two slip pockets on the fully lined inside. Everything will stay securely inside with a zippered top closure
(easy zipper instructions!) and the finished size is 12"W x 9"H with a strap that extends from 23" to 44" long. This pattern is
recommended for the imtermediate beginner.
Materials Needed:
- 1/2 yard home decor weight printed fabric (for outside body of bag and strap)
- 1/2 yard home decor weight fabric (for pocket liners and inside of bag)
- One 1" rectangle ring with slider
- Two 2" gate rings
- 4 sets of 1 1/2" grommets
- One 14" or larger zipper
- 1 yard Pellon 911F interfacing or similar lightweight
- 1l2 yard Pellon Fusible Fleece interfacing, or similar
- 1/4 yard Pellon Decor Bond interfacing
- 2 small scraps of heavy interfacing (like Pellon Peltex) or fleece to stabilize hardware
