A stuffed pumpkin with dangling legs and arms made using fabric yo-yos strung together with floss. The body is 6" in height and diameter adn constructed with three different contrasting fabrics pieced together. The spider is approximately 12" in diameter and 7" tall with bendable yo-yo legs. Warning: this projec is not intended for use as a toy for young children; the small objects used may cause a choking hazard.
Materials Needed:
- 1/3 yd each of six different coordination orange & gold fabrics
- 1/4 yd each of two coordinating green fabrics for hands, feet & stem
- 4" x 6" black felt or lace
- (2) 1/2" black half ball shank buttons for eyes
- No. 5 black perle cottton floss
- No. 3 black perle cotton floss
- No. 3 orange perle cotton (used to string yo-yos)
- Clover Quick Yo-Yo Makers: Extra Large, Large, Small, & Extra Small
- 3" doll needle
- Needle with large eye (for perle cotton)
- Fray Check
- Polyester stuffing
- Optional: wire cutters, awl, plastic templates
- 1 1/4 yds black fabric for spider body & legs (small print or striped)
- 1 yd coordinating black fabric for spider legs
- 1/3 yd green fabric for eye yo-yos and leg accent yo-yos
- (2) 1/4" black shank buttons for eyes
- No. 3 tan perle cotton floss for mouth
- (4) 18" long piecs of 18-gauge floral stem wire
