The Grab & Go Tote Pattern by Indygo Junction has instructions for both a quilted purse or a recycled bag made from jeans! Instructions are included for a front flap and lots of pockets on the back of this bag, giving you quick access to your phone, shopping list, etc. This bag can also hold a tablet and the recycled version has instructions for a flower embellishment. Finished size is 10" x 12".
Materials Needed:
- QUILTED VERSION:
- 5/8 yard of 54" or 45" fabric for main tote body
- 3/4 yard of 45" fabric for accent and lining
- 1 and 1/2" x 36" of contrasting fabric for flap and back pocket trim
- 5/8 yard of medium weight quilt batting
- Sew-in magnetic closure such as Dritz (764) OR large sew-on snaps such as Dritz 30mm
- One 2" decorative button
- RECYCLED VERSION:
- 3 pairs of jeans (1 medium, 1 dark and 1 light) for tote body
- One recycled man's shirt (any size) OR 5/8 yard of 45" fabric for lining
- 5/8 yard of firm weight interfacing
- Sew-in magnetic closure OR large sew-on snaps
- Pin back for the flower
The Grab & Go Tote Pattern has a total of 16 pages. There is a 1 page cover photo, 6 pages of instructions and illustrations, and 9 pages of pattern pieces (to be taped together).
