The Mia is a PDF pattern for an iPAD mini with instructions to make this beautiful yet simple to construct clutch that is padded and fully lined with two flap
style variations.
There are also three closure options and loops for hooking on a strap if desired for your iPad Mini, small tablet, or smaller Kindle models!
This pattern is designed for the iPad Mini with a smart cover or no cover. It will fit many other tablets/eReaders of similar size.
Just measure the width and height of your device with it's cover. If it is taller than 8", or wider than 6" you will need the
"Grace" iPad/large tablet pattern. This pattern includes 2 flap styles: The scalloped and the envelope style flap. You also have 3 closure methods to choose from: ribbon tie, snap or Velcro.
There are also instructions to add a shoulder strap if you want.
Materials Needed:
- 1/3 yard of fabric for the outside
- 1/3 yard of fabric for the lining
- 1/3 yard of 22" or wider heavyweight fusible interfacing
- Batting about 12" by 22"
To attach a shoulder strap (optional)
- 4" of narrow ribbon
- 2 roman shade rings
- Closure Options:
- 1 yard of 1" or wider ribbon OR
- 1 set sew on snaps OR
- 1 set sew on Velcro

The Mia is a PDF pattern that has a total of 26 pages. There is a 1 page printing instruction sheet, 6 pages of pattern pieces, and 19 pages of instructions and step-by-step photos.
If you would like to use this pattern to create cases to sell on Etsy or elsewhere, that is permissable. I would greatly appreciate a note of credit for the pattern source (GailaDesigns). Individual pieces sewn by you are wonderful, no mass production is permitted.
