The Grace is an easy to make PDF pattern to make a padded, fully lined clutch with two flap style
variations, three closure options and loops for hooking on a strap if desired for your iPad, tablet, or Kindle Fire HD (8.9")!
This pattern is designed for the iPad with a smart cover or no cover and there are no zippers to insert. It will fit many other tablets of similar size. Measure the width
and height of your device and the width with it's cover. If it is taller than 9 1/2", or wider than 7 1/2" you will need to adjust the pattern
size. Instructions
are given to adjust the pattern up to 10 1/2" x 8" device with cover.
The pattern includes 2 flap styles: Scalloped, and Envelope style.
You also have 3 closure methods to choose from: ribbon tie, snap or Velcro.
Want to use a shouder strap? The pattern will show you how to add hidden rings to carry the clutch on your shoulder when
desired, but the strap can be removed when you only want the cover with the least amount of bulk and fuss (who wants a shoulder
strap tangling with their purse contents?)
Materials list:
- 1/3 yard of fabric for the outside
- 1/3 yard of fabric for the lining
- 1/3 yard of 45" heavyweight fusible interfacing
- a piece of batting about 14" by 27"
- To attach a shoulder strap (optional):
- 4" of narrow ribbon
- 2 roman shade rings
- Closure Options:
- 1 yard of 1" or wider ribbon OR
- 1 set sew on snaps OR
- 1 set sew on Velcro

This PDF iPAD Clutch pattern has a total of 28 pages. There is 1 page of printing instructions, 8 pages of pattern pieces, and 19 pages of through instructions and photos.
If you would like to use this pattern to create cases to sell on Etsy or elsewhere, that is permissable. I would greatly appreciate a note of credit for the pattern source (GailaDesigns). Individual pieces sewn by you are wonderful, no mass production is permitted.
