The Pooch Purse PDF pattern includes sewing instructions and pattern templates for creating a purse inspired by figurative appliqué styles of the 1940s and 50s. The templates include three different styles to choose from - Hector the Dachshund, Casey the Jack Russell Terrior, and Wisp the Labrador, each with its own character. The appliqué can be created from any material scraps ranging from wollens, velvets, corduroy or tweed or decorator and quilting fabrics. The finished size is 6 1/2" x 5".
Materials Needed:
- 8" x 18" main fabric
- 8" x 18" iron-on interfacing
- 8" x 18" lining fabric
- 6" zipper
- Piece of fake suede, felt, velvet, or boiled wool for dog appliqué
- Piece of contrasting wool, felt, or cotton fabric for the dog's coat
- Piece of fusible web for the appliqué
- 1 or 2 small vintage buttons to trim the dog's coat
