The Alice Book Bag pattern by Betz White (Make New or Make Do) has instructions for a messenger style bag and can also be made with repurposed fabric! This bag can be worn either as a double shoulder strap or a single strap that can be carried across the body for hands free comfort. Finished size is 12" W x 13" H x 2" D.
Materials Needed:
- 3/4 yard of 45" wide main fabric (light to medium weight fabrics such as quilting cotton, twill canvas, decor fabrics, or linens)
- 3/4 yard of 45" wide lining fabric (lightweight fabrics such as quilting cottons, broadcloth, and shirting)
- 1 1/4 yard of 20" wide woven cotton fusible interfacing
- 2 yards of 1" wide cotton webbing
- 2 (or 3, optional) curtain grommets, 1" diameter hole
- Matching thread
